Dear Christian,

How are you doing this week? How is everything going? I read an article recently and honestly I became sad and decided to write this. I believe we need to conduct ourselves better and by better I mean like Christ.  These are a few things I wish someone told me very early on.

Get off your high horse; Have we ever thought about how the world sees us (as Christians) by Google search here is a list;

Does that not even contradict the term “Like Christ”. God has indeed sent us into the world but the very people we are sent to see us as judgemental. There is a disconnect there. Looking at the life of Christ, I don’t see him as judgemental of people in fact they didn’t couldn’t lay any allegation on him. He Spoke, He touched, He sat with sinners, He eat and drank with them. I mean this was Jesus!! In ALL his glory and majesty! Haba! Who are we?

Let’s not forget;

The real treasure we have is Christ, We are just the vessels that carry him

We have this treasure from God, but we are only like clay jars that hold the treasure. This is to show that the amazing power we have is from God, not from us. 2 Cor 4:7

We cannot boast in about any of it Eph 2:9

It is Christ we proclaim

We don’t tell people about ourselves. But we tell people that Jesus Christ is Lord, and we tell them that we are your servants for Jesus. God once said, “Let light shine out of the darkness!”And this is the same God who made his light shine in our hearts to let us know that his own divine greatness is seen in the face of Christ.2 cor 4:5-6

Don’t be stupid; Yes! I said it! Don’t be stupid! Even if we want to be condescending and judgemental at least let’s do it right right? Who we wan take am resemble sef? Jesus spoke with so much authority and wisdom, when Jesus came it was said of him, one greater than solomon is here Matt 12:42. If Christ is wise and we’re living the life of Christ, How can we spew so much ignorance in the name of the Lord? Christ has been made unto us wisdom. Doesn’t that mean a disconnect somewhere when no one can indeed testify that you’ve been with Jesus after you speak or write?

I believe in Jesus Christ and I am trying with his help to live by his standard and this is definitely not to say we lower his standard, NO! AND THAT IS THE POINT!!! We have a higher standard which Jesus came to establish. We live by that standard.

God wants us to make peace with the world:

 All this is from God. Through Christ, God made peace between himself and us. And God gave us the work of bringing people into peace with him. 19 I mean that God was in Christ, making peace between the world and himself. In Christ, God did not hold people guilty for their sins. And he gave us this message of peace to tell people. 20 So we have been sent to speak for Christ. It is like God is calling to people through us. We speak for Christ when we beg you to be at peace with God. 2 Cor 5: 18-20

We’ve been sent! If we’ve been sent, how are we speaking? Like Christ? We need to understand the gravity of us being his representatives. It’s a huge privilege and responsibility. All i’m saying is this, we are his hands and feet on the face of the earth our purpose is to make peace with the world. Let’s live like it!

With Love,
