These days it’s quicker and easier to proclaim how much Jesus loves us. Today let us look at our proclamation of our Love for Jesus. Loving Jesus is more than words itself. Love here is different from how we love our fellow relatives, companions, partners and so on. Loving Jesus is what you are doing (actions) not how you are feeling.
Looking through the Bible, What does it mean to truly love Christ?
“If you love me, you will do what I command” John 14:15 ERV
A true #jesuslover is someone who does exactly what his father tells him to do. John 14:31
Not only knowing Christ’s commands but obeying his teachings. John 14:21-23 ERV
All he asks from us to show how much we love him is to obey his commands and teachings. So simple but yet so big. These commands are the ones we’ve heard over and over
*When we love God (obey his commands and teachings) he makes himself known to us, he reveals himself. John 14:21, 1John4:7
*He begins to live in us. John 17:26
*True love for Christ brings us peace. John 14:27
* Because we truly love Christ he will give us everything we ask. John 15:7
* Loving Christ brings true happiness (knowing Christ). John 15:9-11
* True love for Christ guarantees eternity. Due. 6:2
I don’t obey his teachings, I obey sometimes, I don’t love my neighbor, I’m not making disciples or telling the good news about him. Then why am I claiming to be a #jesuslover?
How are you doing this week? How is everything going? I read an article recently and honestly I became sad and decided to write this. I believe we need to conduct ourselves better and by better I mean like Christ. These are a few things I wish someone told me very early on.
Get off your high horse; Have we ever thought about how the world sees us (as Christians) by Google search here is a list;
Does that not even contradict the term “Like Christ”. God has indeed sent us into the world but the very people we are sent to see us as judgemental. There is a disconnect there. Looking at the life of Christ, I don’t see him as judgemental of people in fact they didn’t couldn’t lay any allegation on him. He Spoke, He touched, He sat with sinners, He eat and drank with them. I mean this was Jesus!! In ALL his glory and majesty! Haba! Who are we?
Jesus made a difference with just a cup of water. I hope and pray that we receive the strength and courage to be Christ in the midst of the earth.
John 4: 7 A woman from Samaria came to draw water. Jesus said to her, “Give me a drink.”
(I would encourage we read the whole Chapter)
Matt 10:40-42 MSG translation
“We are intimately linked in this harvest work. Anyone who accepts what you do, accepts me, the One who sent you. Anyone who accepts what I do accepts my Father, who sent me. Accepting a messenger of God is as good as being God’s messenger. Accepting someone’s help is as good as giving someone help. This is a large work I’ve called you into, but don’t be overwhelmed by it. It’s best to start small. Give a cool cup of water to someone who is thirsty, for instance. The smallest act of giving or receiving makes you a true apprentice. You won’t lose out on a thing.”
Don’t forget to share! It’s all about Christ. None of us and ALL of him!

I hope you are having a lovely week? Those of you that know me from my old blog will know that I have a love for Photography which led me to meet my husband and probably seen my progress. I have not been taking pictures actively since we decided to work together. I do more managerial work for the photography company but I have since learnt sooooo much about photography and I recently picked up the camera to do a shoot for my ever faithful model.
I understand that this might be a very sensitive topic because we (Humans) like to be in some form of control.
I do not know or understand the science around it but it’s there.
We want to know what’s next.
We want to understand situations. Which in of itself is not a bad thing.
Thinking about how things are mostly out of our control. Something about this just makes me shiver . The fact that we are all here on the earth without knowing what will happen next, we don’t have control over our existence the outcome of a whole lot of things. *shivers*
Happy Monday People,
How are you all doing? Hope your weekend went well? I am still trying to get back into the blogging groove and keeping up with alot of other blogger! *Phew* Today, we would be looking at Love and redefining it!
Over the years, I have learnt about love in different ways. I have heard Love being defined as God himself, Love being associated with giving and the other 1 Corinthians 13 4-13 definition of Love. There is only one thing that baffles me, the narrative before the popular parts of 1 Cor 13
How are you and how did you enjoy your holiday? I post videos on my youtube channel every Friday and I will be sharing them here on Fridays. Today, I would be talking about what happens sometimes after God draws us close and teaches us more about himself.
Check it out!
Over the years, I have heard and read so much about purpose. One of the books I will say at one point that helped me along this journey was “The purpose driven life”, like I said in the previous post, I have since evolved.
Reading these books, and listening to these teachings, I was sent on a wild goose chase, looking and searching for “God’s purpose for my life” as it was never clear what exactly it was and if I wasn’t ‘spiritual’ enough, I couldn’t ‘receive’ it from God.
